I have the lion class .I think the best way to get it is to use submarines , since the new update its even easiyer with submarines because the enemy dont want to disange so early

Agreeded. H-44 was merely a concept that stemmed from the idea of a ship being protected against all possible threats.
The in-game H-39 was merely a concept.The in-game Lion was merely a concept.
Fair and valid point. Those ships are just concepts. What separates them from the H-44 is that they were perhaps just a touch more realistic to build. H-39 weighs in at 56,000 tons whereas H-44 weighs in at about 131,000. Big difference between those two ships.
Not really correct. H-39 and Lion were all laid down but eventually canceled. So they are more plausible as what-ifs in that regard.
Can you increase the player controlled ship cap?
Maybe,max.5 ships instead of max.3 would be better?

If you choose 2 subs it is very rare for subs to spawn where they will be of any use

Super ships can exist,it’s not unrealistic.
They can exist, but when you consider that H-44 would weigh double that of the Yamato, it does bring you caus to consider how big H-44 would be.
Since the carriers of the United States Navy, from the Forestall-class to the Gerald R. Ford class are bigger than Yamato, they can be considered super ships.

Can someone give me advice on how to 3 star level 50? I for the life of me cannot 3 star it, even with subs. So any tricks or hints? Could people tell me what force composition they used to beat the level? Thanks!
I only got 2 out of three stars but that is because one of my subs spawned out of torpedo range but if you are lucky then two subs will take out the 4 battleships and one battleship will take out the 2 destroyers and if the torpedoed side of a battleship can be seen then the battleship can help sink the enemy battleship

It also works just to get the three largest battleships in the fleet (Nelson, Rodney and Hood or Bismarck, Tirpitz and Scharnhorst) then keep restarting until you cross your enemy’s ‘T’ at spawn and the enemy starts off with the command ‘move all’ like they occasionally foolishly do. If you then plot the shot fall and make your own guesstimates instead of listening to the idiotic weapons officers then you should be fine. Zoom in to 128x zoom and adjust the shots slightly to aim for their turrets. Hit the turrets then the engine rooms so they can’t shoot or disengage then move on to the next target; DO NOT sink them because if two enemy battleships sink the other two will make smoke and run away. After immobilizing all four battleships sink the destroyers with ease and then finish off the battleships to earn your prototype.

Finally unlocked the Lion-class battleship. Used Nelson, Hopd, and a submarine. They cost 150,000 renown.

Does this update fix how fast german ships smoke and leave, beat the german campaign( just working on all 3 stars), but the British campaign I can’t beat because they disengage SO quickly ?

I’ve the game on iOS so not on the latest version as yet. I was anticipating this update as through some support emails conversations seems that some great work was being done for new version. However reading these things about Lions and H39 is worrying to me.
This website mentions the features of the game as having “60 highly detailed historic ship models representing over 630 individual ships and 350 submarines” and an “dynamic campaign with limited resources, historical units, actual convoy routes and real world-based weather” and I would rather see the game stay as such rather than adding classes that never went to sea during the period. There’s many more classes that did exist in the games scope and in my opinion much more deserve inclusion.
Is there any option in the new version to disable such unhistorical ships at least?
well we could play some alternate history too, i dont mind having some deviations from historical accuracy as long as it does not deviate so much
Some deviations are there to start with, such as an HMS Repluse modernised to the same standard as HMS Renown, HMS Charybdis and HMS Scylla using the classes designed armament rather than the 4.5 inch guns they ended up with. I could go on giving other examples. Though the classes as an whole are quite historical, these are deviations that I don’t mind, entire classes that never saw outside an dockyard deviates an bit too much to me though.
Also including classes that never managed to get into service seems in contrast to what I’ve seen in the game to start with. For example in “Battle of the Atlantic” we are not allowed to purchase classes that were not as yet in service such as the P and Q classes becoming available in 1942 and the Castle class available in 1943, nor do our escorts get the two A/S mortars until 1942 and 1943. At what point then are the Lions available or what is so deserving about them if they are not subject to this?
I don’t mind others using such ships should they want to, though I would prefer not to see them in my dynamic campaign, an toggle in the options between historical and unhistorical would be appreciated.
i think those super ships are not present in BotA, but rather as rewards for completing the campaigns, and for custom battles gameplay but i dont really know… Killerfish can you confirm this if those classes can be bought in BotA?
Once unlocked they can be bought in BotA. But they are very expensive.
The AI will not use unlocked ships in BotA. So if you don’t buy them they should not appear.

I saw hutten in BotA while i play withe allied ,but i cant buy lion although i have won campaign with german and allied
H39 and Lion in BotA are unlocked by wining BotA games.
Just finished BotA campaign on latest release and won as German side. Got the end game screen saying Hutten class available. When I start a new BotA campaign with German, I don’t see Hutten available at shipyard.
It is a bug in 1.08. Getting fixed for next update.
Awesome. Seeing as the Royal Navy has more than quadruple the tonnage compare to the Kriegsmarine, it would be great to have an option in BotA that removes the time limit and lets the player keep playing until the entire RN fleet is sunk .

How can i get barracuda i’ve won the aliied BotA but my illustrius class carrier has already swordfish bombers (also after i rearm the carrier in a harbor)
I was noticing in the campaign that the Germans have very little air power. This may be realistic, but maybe the unbuilt Graf Zeppelin class would be a good addition to give the Germans an aircraft carrier.
Or rather what about increasing the chance (or quantities) that the Germans are able to get land based airstrikes on zones with land. You could argue as they managed to control much territory throughout Europe. Britain would continue to get the realistic advantage in air power at sea though.
So Germans advantage in air power is stronger though static, British is weaker though available in any sector with carriers.

More bugs/issues
HMS Endinburg can achieve 76+ knots in the single battle mission “Escorting Endinburg” if she remains unhit.
Dido-class cruisers did not have 2 aircraft on them according to my sources. It’s listed as being there in their ship info page.
Town-class cruisers appear to be missing their main radar director.
After visiting the help/options page during a battle when your ship is on the firing turn, the red bearing line can disappear, making aiming difficult visually.
Illustrious-class aircraft carriers can have their 4.5 inch guns knocked out. However, as time progress, the damage report goes from knocked out status to fixed. The guns still remain inoperable though. It also seems that the P1 turret is the only one that ever gets destroyed. The rest don’t appear to get destroyed even if you aim for the starboard or rear of the ship.
Question
Does the belt armor and deck armor extend over the entire ship or is it historically accurate as to where it is placed (such as certain ships not having much armor in the bow or stern but having the central part of the ship armored)?

New question: is the enemy allowed more than 20 ships in the BotA as well as more Renown? Because every turn I’ll be outnumbered by smaller ships (eg a Deutschland vs. a cruiser and three DDs) and the second I sink a large tonnage ship (U-38 sank HMS Warspite in mid-September) and instantly HMS Queen Elizabeth turned up next turn without them sinking a single German warship!
Somewhat. The AI can be very random so it is a matter of adjusting your strategy accordingly.
Oh and I have an two ideas for the BotA:
In return for sacrificing both movement AND action, how about summoning a random friendly ship from a neighbouring square?
Secondly, how about the team who has the initiative being able to disengage without engaging, so on the list of ships you have ATTACK and DISENGAGE if you have a severe disadvantage as you have the initiative and therefore the ability to turn away without getting the enemy’s attention.
Hi, is there a change log for 1.07? Apple updated to 1.08 and it is just showing the fix for 10 ships in custom battle and not any changes brought forth in 1.07. So is there any place I can find a change log? Thanks!

Would you consider releasing the German H-44 as an in game purchase? I know it goes against your idea of paying once for everything in the game, but I think many people including myself would be willing to pay for it. By the way, your game is the best and most realistic and awesome!

However we are much more inclined to make whole premium games.

Killerfish Games, what about having improvements to gunnery?
We should be able to set individual guns to different bearings, so it will be possible to attack multiple ships at the same time with one salvo.
We should also be able to fire main and secondary weapons at the same time, just like in Battle Fleet 2.
Good suggestions, but we felt that these increase the turn time and Atlantic Fleet already has a longer turn time than Pacific Fleet.
I don’t see any problem with that but maybe that can be an option to enable or disable

The nav bar is disabled by default.
If it is not disabling, try researching other ways to disable it or a setting on the device that might be preventing it?
Killerfish Games, is there a possibility that Atlantic Fleet can be expanded into the Pacific, with a remake of Pacific Fleet as an IAP, and renaming it “World War II Fleet”? Getting 3 stars in the last mission for USN gives you Montana-class, or winning “Battle of the Pacific” dynamic campaign as the U.S. will get it unlocked, while getting 3 stars in the last campaign mission for IJN, or winning a “Battle of the Pacific” dynamic campaign as Japan gives you the Super Yamato.
Or it could be a separate game for $9.99.
Also, are there details yet about the next update. Will the ships we suggested (H-44, Montana, Iowa, more American ships, Graf Zeppelin) be added as playable ships?

hello killerfish, I noticed that there are two guys floating outside the port railing on the Dido-class of RN when observed abaft
while playing BotA using a type IX sub, I fired a single torpedo at 1440 yds. The DD blew up and sunk but “Torpedo failed to arm” was displayed.
also i noticed that upon active searching some brit DDs make sudden stops when moving in their turn and then accelerate back to high speed the next turn as if they are not affected by inertia. is that a bug?
Might be the AI thinking it is going to collide and backing up the DD?
My admiral class battecuriser crashed in to my nelson class battleship and immediately after crashing AI made it reverse-Is IA meant to have some control over my ships
Yes, if you have collided the captain will automatically put your ship into reverse, even if you order forward.
uhm killerfish is it possible to arrange the ships in the shipyard from cheapest to most expensive renown? i believe they are not arranged as such 🙂

I am playing the Campaign Game as the Germans and for the life of me I can’t get past Mission 6. The British subs disengage as soon as they are damaged by my HE gunfire. Tried torpedoes with no luck and the few times I got close enough to drop depth charges did nothing either. I am I doing something wrong? Is there a bug or is it just that hard!

German Depth Charges are broken right now. Best bet is to get in close (to the side of a submarine) and use torpedoes.
A “Merchant Move All” option would sure be nice when playing the Brits. Maybe in place of “Smoke” that combat vessels get?
Also, Its aggravating that your BBs always go before your CA/Cls and those before DDs. Ability to change the “order of batttle”, and even the formation ships were in would be the cats meow.
Merchant Move All: Just tun on “Fleet move mode” when you go to move your first merchant and they will all move together.
Order of battle can be changed in Custom Battles, otherwise it is biggest to smallest ships.
Bugs/Issues
British Attacker/Ruler CVEs don’t experience the destruction of their superstructure when they take enough damage or sink.
The Renown-class battlecruisers’ aft radar dircetor points away from the red bearing line. Example: if the main guns are pointed at 90 degrees to starboard, the main radar director will follow the main guns. However, the aft radar director will be pointed to port.
Air attacks can occasionally cause the AI to freeze up during their turn. The game will not continue to the next ship’s turn. This seems to occur most often when the AI uses the move all button and the player is using a warship/submarine that the AI can’t find/identify right away.
Occasionally, a Fritz X bomb will fly towards its target before flying straight up into the sky until it reaches the top of the map. It will then disappear and the game continues normally. This seems to be a rare bug overall.
Questions
Can secondary guns be added to HMS Hood for star shell usage at some time in the future? It seems odd to me that it is the only British warship aside from Courageous-class carriers/ escort carriers that can’t fire star shells. I’m fairly certain that it had a secondary battery of some sort.
Can carriers suffer a magazine explosion due to a shell/bomb setting off the hangar ordnance in Atlantic Fleet similar to Pacific Fleet?
hello i got a bug too, but i dont know how to send a screenshot to you guys. during BotA i think my tirpitz was severely damaged by an event and has several subsystems in red, but its damage report says NONE. During combat those systems which are red (e.g., turret X) did not function but after bringing to port it just took 4 turns to repair like it has no damage at all.

I have a few questions about the aircraft carriers
can the Blackburn Skua be added as a dive bomber? It is a Fighter/Dive Bomber they were used from the beginning of the war on Ark Royal
Will Ark Royal be added?(it was there for the beginning of the war and sunk long after hood-and it would be awesome trolling bismarck with the ship that historically prevented the Bismarck’s get away)

I have discovered a slight glitch – Renown and two destroyers (both V-class) encountered U-41 in British home waters. I attacked it with a Sunderland scoring two depth charge hits at periscope depth. Message ‘U-41 sinking’ pops up and the camera follows the charges to the second level. However, as the charges explode again the camera continues to get lower and lower. There is no done sign despite the fact that the only German unit (U-41) had been destroyed. After five minutes I had to turn off my iPod and back on again only to find that three turns later U-41 was still operational and sank one of my cruisers, which I understandably wasn’t very happy about… can you investigate please?
This bug will be fixed in the next update.
We thought we got it in 1.08 but it can still occur rarely.
And also, why are AI airstrikes SO inaccurate? The other day in the Kiel square my force (Exeter, Achilles and Vampire) came under attack by two subs. The submarines launched 10 Stukas, two of which were shot down and none of which caused ANY damage at all, the bombs fell so far wide. The occasional misjudgment is alright but at one point the bombs fell 2,000 yards out (they were halfway between Exeter and Vampire, range 4,059 yards) – that can’t be right!
PS, HMAS Vampire reports two submarines de-stroyed.
They can be quite variable.
Can you please do something about the lack of targets for Great Britain in the Atlantic Campaign, because the lack of surface targets combined with the cowardice of U-boats makes for a very hard time sinking enough tonnage to earn larger ships such as the Lion-class. I ran it through the maths and found that if all units are deployed displacing more than 10,000t the Germans have 1,846,160t of warships to destroy including all BBs, BCs, CVs, CVEs, CAs and CLs over 10,000t plus numerous smaller cruisers, destroyers and submarines. However, the allies only have 231,600t of targets plus light cruisers, destroyers and submarines. Whilst I grant these are a little heavier and more numerous on the German side it still isn’t enough when they run away at the start of every battle! The total weight of German ‘capital’ ships excluding the unlocks is less than the weight of the ten British dreadnoughts – which can’t be right. Please do something…

That would work, as would the addition of Plan Z ships (if Lion and H-39 can be in why not add carriers like Zeppelin, Seydlitz/Moltke conversion as well as O-class BCs, P-class CAs, M-class CLs etc).
Which Royal Navy ships do you wish to have removed from the game?
I would like to point out that the British Royal Navy had the largest navy in 1939 and was the second largest by 1945. Germany’s navy was relatively small compared to the British, if not the Allies in general in WWII. It’s modeled as historically accurate that Germany’s navy was smaller than the British Royal Navy. It’s unrealistic that Germany would have been able to build these uncreated ships without the British responding in kind. No matter how you look at it, the British simply had have more ships and a more superior ability to produce more ships than Germany if history is followed.
I know that. However, the point that I am protesting at is that surely more ships should make it easier, but no – having so many expensive ships when your enemy has so few to fund them results in you having little renown most of the time – an even more annoying factor when you consider that in reality after a few cruisers and battleships have been sunk the only threat is a sub which cruisers and bigger cannot attack 99% of the time. I don’t wish to have these ships under my command – oh no, I want them as targets!
This might be too hard to use with the graphics engine you currently have, but maybe you can give the players a view from the bridge and maybe from the deck, increasing player immersion, also maybe you guys can add scout planes for spotting ships on the limited spotting range mode, to increase historical accuracy, and maybe also adding damage models for aircraft and allowing ships to break in half, although this might be too hard on the engine you are currently using.
Both are features we’d like to see. Perhaps in a future game 🙂
