      I realy love Atlantic fleet – since i played pacific fleet i wished this game would be adopted for Atlantic – and you did a good job

      but i miss the ship upgrade system fom pacific fleet
      i would at least like to reenfoce the anti aircraft guns (witch had be done with nearly all ships during ww2)
      an additional raidar against the smoke screen would be nice
      and i have 2 idears for the superweapons like in pacific fleet

      the “fritz x” shipwrack missiele and the “tallboy” bonb for the british

      its also a bit unfair that the germans dont have an aircraftcarrier could you please add the “Graf Zeppelin” she never serverd in active duty but she was 90% complete in ww2

      ps i also would like to see the the type XXI 21 submariene in the game

        Good feedback.
        The upgrade system was dropped in favour of many more ship classes. In addition, now if you lose a ship in a campaign or BotA, you have to buy another to replace it.
        So if you lose a Destroyer, you could replace it with one with heavier guns (a Tribal), or many more torpedoes (J,K,N Class). This essentially replaces the upgrade system as you buy ships with the characteristics you want in your fleet.

        Fritz X is already in game along with the Hs293.
        Tallboy wasn’t used against shipping targets, but Gran Slam was and the latter is in as well.

          i understand the intenson but i think the option of making your favorit ships better was a good motivation for earning credits specialy when you already have the “best” ships

          the upgrade system dosent have to be as huge as in PF were you can add amour – just some litte gadges like raidar , better anti air guns , damage control

          one last think the “Tirpitz” was refitted with torpedo launchers from a Z class destroyer
          and hid by a “Tallboy”

    I just played a few custom and campaing battles and it is awesome.All game logic/coding was created by one man?It is better than world of warships in its current state.I hope that you will add iowa or north caroline ships.One suggestion – possibility to change distance between enemy and player ships in custom battle before the actual battle start would be nice.Running on Nexus 7 2012 wifi 16GB android 5.1 without any problem.Notification bar tell me that system update to 5.1.1 is downloaded and ready for install but Im scared to install because it can destroy the game functionality.

      Torpedoes run over multiple turns now. Their range and speed are based on type and navy and are historically based.
      A torpedo overshooting its target will “despawn” if no other targets are nearby so you don’t have to sit and watch it wander off.

      German translation is the first priority (given the subject matter) and we’ll see where it goes after that.

    Does this game has a fps lock?On my second tablet lenovo a3500-fl the game looks smoother but on my nexus 7 it looks like capped on 30 fps.Both pacific and atlantic fleet.

        Yes there are different gpus but mali-400mp in lenovo is slower than the one in tegra 3.Other unity engine games are ok.

    I saw two H-39 class battleships in the game. To clarify, it was encountered in the 40th mission of the simplified campaign mode of the Allies. They were named “Hutten”, and “Berlichlingen”.

      Once the allies (or axis) have won, that is the end of that campaign.
      Admire your war summary page (or try to work out what wen wrong) and then start a new campaign.

      They are randomly assigned in Custom Battles.
      In BotA there is a random chance for them later in the war for zones with German air-cover.

      Yes. End your turn in a zone with a resupply tender and the ship/s will be re-armed with shells and torpedoes.
      Press the “Abc” button to see zone names (and where the tenders are if playing Germany).

Just a list, H39-H44 battleships, the Lion class of battleships, the HMS Vanaguard, the HMS Ark Royal, the Graf Zepplin, and the O class battlecruisers.

    Great game!!!

    But I ran into some problem during the Battle of the Atlantic-Campagne.
    In Week 2 of April 1942 I cannot advance. it just says “Allied Sea Power Dominates the Atlantic”.
    Does that mean I lost the game???
    I sank almost all the BBs, BCs and CVs (820,585 tons). merchants Sunk: 5,323,930 tons.

    Is that a bug or what did I wrong?

      That is the end of that campaign: If you’re playing Allies, you won. Otherwise you lost.
      The campaign is based on the historical amounts of merchant tonnage required to starve out Britain.
      300,000 tons per month in the early war, 700,000 tons per month once the US joins the war.

      Maybe. We felt it would drag out if you sunk the bulk of the enemy fleet and just had to cycle through turns to 1945 to get to the end…
      So we made it end based on the tonnage quotas.

    I haven’t completed any campaigns. Last mission is too hard. I have to fight four battleships and two destroyers at the same time. I can only use up to 3 ships in a campaign mission.

    If it will, we should be able to use modernized Iowa-class with Tomahwk, Harpoon, and Phalanx.

    This could happen when Atlantic Fleet is done with updates.

          Yes, and if this is going to happen, we should have a Cold War, or World War 3 dynamic campaign. Some nations to be in the game are US, Soviet Union, then becomes Russia eventually, China, UK, France, Japan. India, and others.

          Some aircraft for delivering airstrikes: B-47, B-52, Tu-95, Tu-160, Tu-22, F-4, A-4, A-1, Su-25, Su-34, B-2, B-1, F-18, F-35, and others.

            USN Cruisers: from Des Moines and Boston class to Ticonderoga class.

            USN aircraft carriers: from Midway class to Gerald R. Ford class

            Littoral Combat Ship should be in the game.

      I would support the idea of modern sea battle game, but its a bit problematic tho(

      – US vs Soviet campaign should be from the late 50s to 94 only. For obvious balance and realism. No planned soviet ships, no US super weapons…etc.
      – Prblem with distance… ASMs fly 2-300km or more… not speaking of aircraft…
      – smart weapons…. little we can interact, events mostly depend on tech vs tech rolls. And thats a lot of guesswork, and subjective decision making – neverending west vs east technology debates)
      – air combat, and the increased air power oriented warfare… you know it.

      Of course i’d like to see (or plan) such game, but not an easy task.

    There should also be the newest warships, including the America-class LHD, CVN Gerald R. Ford, JDS Izumo, and Zumwalt class, and multiple Areleigh Burke class variants Flight I to Flight III.

    When missiles are fired at modern ships, the CIWS should attempt to shoot it down.

            So you earned 3 stars on level 50. Did you get the victory screen? And at the bottom did it say Lion Class BB unlocked?
            If so, the Lion should now be available in Custom Missions and future Allied Campaigns. BotA is unlocked separately.

            I completed the Battle of the Atlantic as the Germans and won. It said I unlocked the H-39 BB but when I restarted another German BotA campaign it wasn’t in the shipyard list. Does it just unlock at a historical date? Like along with the Bismarck?

      Tap the Action Button until airstrike comes up. If it doesn’t come up, there are no aircraft in the area.
      Then select a target, set the attack direction and position using the sliders and hit Launch.

    I have three questions.
    1. I played the fifth mission (I think) of the campaign with Germany: Leberecht Maas vs Codrington, Acasta and a Large Freighter. The HMS Codrington fired three torpedos on the Leberecht Maas. But in this moment the Codrington was behind the Large Freighter. And the torpedos just passes through the merchant. Is this not a little bit unlogical?
    2. If you select the torpedoes you can set a red line, the way the torpedos will follow. And if you select the direction for a torpedo a green line appears and one torpedo is subtracted from the total of torpedos you can use, right? But sometimes one torpedos is subtracted but the green line doesn’t appear. Then you’re out of torpedos (for that turn) but you ship doesn’t fire a torpedo. Is that a bug?
    3. I think the enemy shoots too good. I need sometimes ten or more salves before hitting an enemy ship, the enemy hits me during the third salve. Can you use any radar like in Pacific Fleet?

      1. Torpedoes (and shells) can pass through friendly ships as there is no friendly fire.
      2. Bug. Usually caused if you are moving the red line as you touch the button to set the green line.
      3. Ten salvos to hit is a lot. You should be hitting by 3rd, 4th at the latest. Are you targeting ships and using the Target Solution data as an initial estimate? See Options/Help Help section on Gunnery.

            What about adding morals? For Germany and England? That this morals can increase and decrease? For example if you sink two big enemy battleships, the enemy’s morals decrease and the own morals increase? And if morals are low, the possibility then will be higher that this state surrenders? What do you think? (:

            Are you referring to morale? That is kind of built into the AI such that Germany is very protective of their limited number of ships.

    The game says the Revenge class battleships have sonar according to their subsystems page. I don’t believe this is correct. I encountered this when using a submarine.

    I’m experience issues where bombs dropped by Lancasters and glide bombs sometimes don’t go off when they hit a ship. They leave a hole but beyond that, there is no explosion. I’ve encountered entire strikes with dud bombs/glide bombs.

    I see there a Barracuda aircraft according to the air attacks video. Is it similar to how Lancasters appear, by luck/chance?

      Yup Revenge shouldn’t have sonar.
      Not seen glide bombs or grand slams not explode before. Do you have Dud weapons on, that would make them duds 4% of the time?
      No, barracuda are an upgrade to swordfish bombers later in a Battle of the Atlantic game.

    Bugs/Issues

    It says Elbing class torpedo boats have sonar in their subsystems, but this is incorrect.

    Squids don’t seem to work against submarines.

    The Scharnhorst class battleships don’t have their secondary weapons listed in their ship information or subsystems.

    I don’t think underwater damage is being modeled on some ships such as KGV, Lion and Renown class ships.

    German torpedo bombers can fly through Allied warships and drop torpedoes on their decks. I tried this against a ship with weak AA armament. In general, I don’t think planes can fly through ships.

    AI can conduct flight operations with carriers even though flight deck is damaged or destroyed. If my carriers have planes on the deck and the deck gets destroyed/damaged, I found I can still launch aircraft as well. I don’t think this should be possible.

      I totally agree with you about enemy flight decks operating when damaged or destroyed!!! I just close the game and restart if I don’t have a CA or bigger when starting the battle against a CV. I put 50-80 shells in a CV from 8″ guns and had it blazing and listing at 5 kn only to be killed by its torpedo bombers. If the AI wants to cheat… well two can play that game 😉

    Sorry for the longer post, but I’ve got more things to discuss. First of all I’d like to point on one thing, that happened to me several times. During last engagement, an L.M class destroyer equipped with 4.9″ guns has hit my Scharnhorst class battleship’s main turret protected with 14″ armor. As the shell hit the turret, it has put it out of order (compartnent highlighted in red). So I was quite surprised how can a 4.9″ shell be capable of penetrating 14″ armor and even putting the compartment out of order… Next, the in-game manual says, that even in standard campaign mode, I should be able to have air support when near the air cover zone while playing on the German side. Well, I’ve already won the entire simplyfied campaign (unlocking the H-39 class battleships) and I didn’t get any Land-based aircraft at all, even when striking in German home waters and at the noon…
    Besides, the game is incredibly perfect, and the best Ww2 naval simulator for Android, I’ve ever played. I was very surprised and excited about The Pacific Fleet, but the Atlantic Fleet has far exceeded my expectations for a mobile game 🙂
    I would maybe suggest adding more aircrafts and ships, as I consider Germans a little bit disabled… Maybe it would be nice to add a single historical mission, where U-47 historically sunk the HMS Ark Royal in british naval base Scapa Flow…
    I would also like to see german XXI class submarine in the game in future, and adding a few aircrafts, like He-111, Bf-109, Ju 290 or Fw-58, Ju 88 / 188, He 219 and Me 210, or maybe the late war Me-262 or even Ho 229 won’t be bad 😀
    I would maybe also suggest adding a glide bomb Blohm & Voss Bv 246, otherwise known as “Hagelkorn”.
    I would also like to ask, whether we can expect The Italian Royal navy battleships and aircraft carriers, along with aircrafts to be added in a game in the future… And how about German aircraft carriers Graf Zeppelin and Seydlitz? It wouldn’t be bad if Germans had some aircraft carriers as well…
    At the end, I noticed, that for Battle of the Atlantic, there’s a special option called “Sunk ships recycled by enemy”, what exactly does this option do?
    The last request would be adding the H-45 “Fűhrer” or at least the H-44 “Alemania” battleship as a special unlockable.

      Shell vs turret: can happen. Had the turret already been hit by other shells?
      Air Strikes: might be a bug.
      We’d love to add more ships/planes, but they take a long time to create.
      Recycle option lets the AI resurrect a sunk ship and add it back into service.

        Yes, the turret has received several hits during the previous turns. However, all the hits were only from the same ship as the enemy had no more heavy surface vessels or any vessels at all in the combat area.
        Probably the biggest reason, why I mentioned this was that for expample in the Pacific Fleet during the shore bombardment, if attacking the bunker, you had to attack it with appropriate guns, so for examlpe, if you were attacking the bunker protected with 10″ armor, then you had to use guns at least equal or bigger than 10″ in order to pierce the armor. Otherwise the bunker just simply withstood the attack without affecting the structure, and even aircraft-dropped bombs were unseless for this purpose. Unless you had purchased anything else except the submarine, like the A-bomb or additional ships. So that’s why I was unsatisfied with that.
        Hopefully, it was only a bug.
        Oh well, i understand. In thah case, I wish you good luck and smooth progress creating additional ships / aircraft. I’m looking forward to all the new stuff.

        Maybe I would add one more thing. I’ve played the entire Battle of The Atlantic campaign and I noticed that sometimes, I encountered the destroyer with the same name, as the one I’ve already sunk previously (DD Gurkha) . And I’m sure that the option “Sunk ships recycled by enemy” was not marked. I know that this option’s main purpose is to prevent encountering the same ship more than one time, so when you sink the Bismarck for exapmle, it won’t appear anymore in the certain Battle of The Atlantic Campaign. But is this related only to the heavy surface ships or for all? Because, I know, that it was only a destroyer and I may have encountered vast number of other destroyers as well but if this option’s aim is to avoid meeting ANY ship more than once, I think that the destroyers or submarines shouldn’t be an exception.

          No worries. Also we tweaked turrets not to get knocked out by non-penetrating hits in the next update.
          For the recycled units: we think there might be a very subtle bug that allows enemy ships to come back. DD Gurkha always seems to pop up so we’re looking into it. Hard one to track down though.

          Ah found it!
          HMS Gurkha was a Tribal Class DD sunk by air attack off Norway in 1940. A L Class DD being built (HMS Larne) was then renamed to HMS Gurkha. So there’s two Gurkhas about, one a Tribal and one a L Class Destroyer.

    Killerfish Games, Apple just announced a new iPad. It’s called “iPad Pro”, and it has a 12.9 inch screen. Would you mind updating Atlantic Fleet to stretch throughout the whole screen, when it becomes available in November?

      Interesting. Thankfully we designed Atlantic Fleet such that it auto-sizes the screen to fit various device screen aspect ratios.
      At 2732×2048 (4:3 aspect ratio) the iPad Pro should work just fine.

      960×640 is the lowest resolution supported on iOS devices.

    This game is fantastic! The only thing I can ask for is more ships and aircraft! Maybe more locations, the Med was a major theater as well! I am at level 50 in the UK campaign and I am getting my butt kicked. Best I have done so far is sank every ship save the Tirpitz using only subs. Carriers are sitting ducks out here. Why only a three ship maximum? Might be nice to deploy more, have a true mixed fleet. Maybe base the size of your fleet on how far and how many stars gained during campaign? I cannot wait to see what you guys come up with next! I would love to see a Second Battle of the Atlantic set in the Cold War!

        I beat the campaign mode and am playing the Battle of the Atlantic as Germany. I am having a grand old time! Twice I sank a British battleship by getting my destroyers in close and unleashing a full salvo of torpedos (HMS Valiant and HMS Queen Elizabeth to Max Shultz and Z21, respectively). Now, if I lose a ship I can’t get it back but so far I have sank HMS Fearless at least four time, same for HMS Guhrka, HMS Hero, and others. Does the computer get to recycle ships or is there a setting I am missing to prevent this? I have sank 200 Royal Navy warships for a total of 977,635 tons. Is the computer recycling losses?

          There is a recycle ships setting that you can turn off

          Although there is like 2-3 Gurkhas in the Royal Navy,a Tribal and a G class.maybe one more

            The Gurkhas are correct.
            One was a Tribal which was sunk and the other was an L Class which was renamed to Ghurka after the loss of the first one.

          There is an option which allows the AI to use recycled ships.
          Check to see if it is on in the options page. If not, might be a bug and email a screenshot of your ships sunk list.
